Welcome to Southsea Skatepark

Southsea Skatepark opened in 1978 and is run by a volunteer led charity. This a community hub where people of all ages can be active and get creative taking part in skateboarding, BMX, scootering & more in a safe space in the heart of Southsea in Portsmouth.

The skatepark is a safe space where everyone can be creative, physically active, find new friendships with different peer groups, get inspired, and learn to positively express themselves. The skatepark connects to different community groups, social enterprises, marginalised communities and more and is not just a venue to these sports and lifestyles, but also to the arts and other creative activities too.

#update Wednesday 10th December: Good afternoon everyone! We are open for bandstand mini from 4pm, street plaza open, ledge side of rink. Rest of park to follow.
Store update:
New drop of product from our friends @doggscooters including the @coreuk SL3, store opens at 4pm.
Get down and get your Christmas shopping at Southsea Skatepark! Plenty of new stock just arrived in time for Christmas including several BMX bikes.

Monday: 4-6 / 6-8
Tuesday: CLOSED
Wednesday: 4-6 / 6-9 Bike Night (1st Wednesday each month)
Thursday: 4-6 / 6-9 Skate Night (1st Thursday each month)
Friday: 4-6 / 6-9 Scooter Night (1st Friday each month)
Saturday: 10-12 Mini-Wheelers / 12-3 / 3-6
Sunday: 10-12 Mini-Wheelers / 12-3 / 3-6

Please note: All sessions are open to ALL SPORTS, unless stated otherwise.

Mini-Wheelers sessions – Under 12s only. Parents can ride/skate on the spine and metal mini by the cafe.

Prices

2 hour session: £8.00 (£6.00 for under 16s)
3 hour session: £10.00 (£8.00 for under 16s)
Last hour entry: £4.00
Mini-Wheelers sessions: £6.00
+ PCC Leisure Card holders get 50% off the cost of a standard session.

Skatepark Store

Since day one we’ve had a in-skatepark store that stocks skateboards, BMX bikes, scooters, safety equipment (pads and helmets) plus loads of different parts and accessories.

The staff are all highly experienced and happy to offer help and advice on the different equipment options and price points available. From beginner to OG, we can help set you up with what you need.

We have a workshop area where we can service, repair and update your bike, skateboard or scooter while you wait. The team is highly skilled and can also offer support on maintenance of your equipment.
